The Hy-Drive HGS® Unit's Effectiveness is Third Party Validated- July 2009

In July 2009, Hy-Drive Technologies Ltd. engaged Professional Service Industries, Inc. (PSI), a significant North American engineering firm, to oversee standard SAE tests to validate the effect of using the Hy-Drive HGS® unit on Class 8 highway tractors. PSI followed the TMC/SAE J1321 Fuel Consumption Test protocol and the SAE J1667 Emissions Test protocol. They are the approved methodologies for confirming the effectiveness of aftermarket products for use with highway tractors. The test results verified the effectiveness of the HGS® on three identical highway tractors with Caterpillar engines, pulling loaded trailers, by reducing fuel consumption by 10.47% and particulate matter as measured by opacity by 39.5%. For a copy of our press release about these tests go to the News section of our site. For a full copy of the PSI report, click on the link below.

June 2009 - Ontario Government Announces Intent to Enact Enabling Legislation for a Cap-and-Trade System for Carbon Credits.

The Government of the Province of Ontario, Canada is introducing enabling legislation, which if passed, would allow the implementation of a Cap-and-Trade system through future regulations that can link to the Western Climate Initiative (WCI) and an emerging North American system in 2012. The WCI is a regional collaboration of U.S. states and Canadian provinces on Cap-and-Trade that includes Quebec, British Columbia, Manitoba, and seven U.S. states. Enabling legislation, if passed, would allow Ontario to set up a Cap-and-Trade program that aligns with other jurisdictions and provide broad access to trading for Ontario industries. Hy-Drive management thinks there will be opportunities to capitalize on a Cap-and-Trade System for users of the HGS® unit. Below is a link to the recently released White Paper from the Ontario government.
Moving Forward: A Greenhouse Gas Cap-and-Trade System for Ontario
